Description
The TBT turbine and compressor blade test stand is designed for non-destructive testing (NDT) of all common blade types. It is suitable for compressor, turbine, fan, impeller and diffuser blades, as well as for blisks/IBRs.
By determining natural frequencies with high precision to an accuracy of <1Hz—tailored to the requirements of master-blade measurements—the TBT enables reliable pass/fail assessments. The high resolution of the measurement results is achieved through a highly optimized clamping system in combination with MAUL-THEET software.
The system was developed more than 17 years ago in collaboration with one of the world’s largest steam and gas turbine manufacturers and has been in service ever since. For over 10 years, these test stands have also been used in the aerospace sector by leading manufacturers. The test stand is used both after manufacture and after refurbishment of turbine and engine blades.
The Turbine and compressor blade test stand was specifically developed for highly precise determination of blade resonances while minimizing the influence of the clamping on the measurement results.
