Description
The ParticleGuard was developed specifically for the vImpact-64 automatic modal hammer to reliably protect the hammer during measurements in dusty, dirty or industrial environments. The protective attachment passively shields the modal hammer against dust, dirt particles and other contaminants, thereby supporting robust operation even under demanding ambient conditions.
In addition, the ParticleGuard can be connected to an external air blower. The targeted airflow actively keeps particles away from the hammer, further improving protection compared with a purely passive cover. Especially for measurements outside conventional laboratory environments—such as in production areas, production-related test setups or particle-laden industrial environments—the ParticleGuard helps protect the vImpact-64 from contamination and supports the system’s long-term operational capability.
