For example, brake pads play a key role in the development and production of braking systems. The dynamic parameters of brake pads are essential characteristics both for brake simulation during the development process and for quality control in production. The metrological determination of the dynamic parameters (also known as modal parameters) of brake pads is described, for example, in SAE J2598.
