Frequency and damping test stand SAE J2598 | FDT

High-precision test bench for determining the natural frequencies and damping of brake pads.
Datasheet (EN)

Description

Brake pads play a central role in the development and production of brake systems. The dynamic sizes of the brake pads are essential features both for the simulation of the brakes during the development process and for quality control in production. The measurement-based determination of the dynamic variables (also modal variables) of brake pads is described in SAE J2598. MAUL-THEET offers a complete system that automatically carries out, evaluates and documents these measurements. With the FDT it is also possible to determine the dynamic variables (natural frequencies and damping) of other technical components.
