To protect works of art, the Rathgen Research Laboratory of the State Museums in Berlin (https://www.smb.museum/museen-institutions/rathgen-forschungslabor/home) commissioned vibration monitoring during a music concert in the Lustgarten in front of the Altes Museum. The vibrations were recorded and recorded on the floor near the exhibits and on the glass display cases. Preliminary investigations showed that the storage of the “amphora from Olbia” has a resonance range at around 60Hz. It was therefore agreed with the concert organizer to reduce the noise level at around 60Hz through suitable equalizer settings. The problem with such investigations is always the question of how much vibration an exhibit can withstand without suffering damage.
