Description
To monitor production quality, brake pistons were previously cut up at random and visually inspected by employees. During setup of the system, all the pistons were cut up, resulting in high scrap rates and high labor costs.
The system solution NFT for brake pistons determines dynamic parameters (natural frequencies and damping) and evaluates them using frequency bands (pass/fail). Our high frequency ranges (40 kHz) with high frequency resolution allow even the smallest defects to be identified. Cracks in the wall and base, geometric and form defects, and defects after hardening of the phenolic pistons can thus be detected non-destructively.
MAUL-THEET helps manufacturers work more cost-efficiently (less scrap, fewer false positives, time savings through non-destructive testing). By using the NFT for brake pistons, we ensure that only the highest quality brake pistons are delivered.
