The Aurora Analysis system is an integrated analysis platform that provides all the tools and capabilities required for summary and detailed analysis of both time and frequency domain data from a single application window.
The Aurora Analysis platform incorporates all of the HGL Dynamics analysis tools – Tornado, Pioneer, Dataviewer and Manoeuvre Creator – and allows rapid switching from one tool to another without having to open any additional applications or minimize any windows.
Aurora is based on a client-server architecture, which means that the operator does not need to be in close proximity to the processed data files. Operation over a Wide Area Network or Virtual Private Network allows data analysis specialists to examine data files acquired at remote test sites, anywhere in the world, by connecting sites across a Wide Area Network or Virtual Private Network.
The Aurora DataViewer display provides the user with the ability to generate their own display templates which they can save, edit and load. The configurabe displays allow task-specific plot arrangements to be created for individual analysis tasks. These options are available in the time domain or the frequency domain, and users may create screens which combine plots from both domains in a single layout.
Users may apply mathematical operations to the analysed data, so that one data set may be used to modify another. This is particularly useful for applying temperature corrections to strain gauge calibrations. These operations may be chained together, so that the result of one mathematical operation may be used as the input to a further calculation.
Any validation changes, feature annotations, or data manipulation operations applied by the user are saved between sessions, so that other users may benefit from the work.
