The MT PULSE Batch Exporter is a PULSE component that helps you to efficiently export selected functions as PULSE ASCII files for a batch of measurements stored in the Measurement Organizer.

Installation of the component for the PULSE PC

Please double click on the MTPulseBatchExporter.exe program and follow the installation instructions.

 

Insert the component into a PULSE project

  • Please open the component organizer with a click on the toolbar icon or use the short cut ctrl+9
  • Chose a Component Group (eg. Tools) and use a right click to open the menu.
  • Please select insert and than the browse button.
  • You can now select the component from the list and insert it with a click on O.K. into the current project.
  • (Hint: Select the first item and press the first letter of the component you want to insert. The marker will jump to the component that matches the first letter.)
  • After that the component is now inserted into the Component Group. To activate the component please double click on the component name. The component is inserted into the current Task. If it needed that the component is shown on more than one task this step must be done for every task.

Function Organizer Tab

The check box is used to select the function that should be exported for every measurement. If a parent item is selected all child items will be also selected. The export of the PULSE ASCII data is done by the function organizer. The values are power values.

Display Organizer Tab

The check box is used to select the displays that should be exported for every measurement. If a parent item is selected all child items will be also selected. The export of the PULSE ASCII data is done by the display organizer. The values are the current units that set for the display.

Settings

The combo box measurement mark is used to set the linking between the measurement and the functions.

The Stat-Point define the measurement that is exported as first. The Stop-Point defined the last measurement for the export. All measurements between the start and the end point will be exported including the start and the end measurement.

The output directory  set the directory that is used to save the exported function. A directory for the measurement is created if the check box is checked. If a file exists with the same name in the export location than it will be replaced.

 

Developer documentation

The component provide a COM interface. It is possible for other application to use the interface to steer the component. For that the DLL  MTPulseBatchExporter must be included into your project. After that the following Methods are accessible:

  •  StartBatchExport() start the batch export and use the settings that are set in the component.

The following Events can be implemented:

  • OnExportProgress is the progress indicator during a running export.
  • OnExportStarted is raised after the export is started.
  • OnExportFinished is raised when the export is finished and indicates the status of the export.
